A Journey Through Time & Taste
Beneath the historic Banyan Tree, the construction of Cercle Sportif de Huế began in 1935. Designed to serve as both a sports center and a social club for French colonial officials and the elite of Huế during the French Colonial era.
The center was home to the city’s first tennis court and swimming pool, both of which remained in use until the late 1980s.
Co-designed by renowned French architect Jacques Alphée Lagisquet and Vietnamese architect Hồ Đắc Cáo, Le Cercle Sportif remains a lasting example of the Streamline Moderne style of Art Deco in the ancient capital.
